Gianluca Grandinetti is an italian artist, filmmaker, director and screenwriter.
He was born on Februar 15, 1991 and studied at the Fine Arts Academy of Macerata. Influenced by his father’s fashionable passion for photography and travel, he showed a great interest in photography, art history and films since his childhood. In 2001 he shot the short film “Illusion” ,with three others colleagues/students, and won two awards at the I-Mode Visions Festival and Cine-Festival of Pesaro (Young Talents).
In 2013 Gianluca met the photographer Henry Ruggeri and got in touch with the live music world. He worked for Barley Arts, Vivo Concerti and Virgin Radio as photographer and documentary filmmaker. Bruce Springsteen, Muse, Green Day, Kiss, Kasabian, Radiohead, ACDC are just some of the many artists he had the pleasure to meet. He also directed music videos for Fabri Fibra, Marracash, Clementino (Universal Music Italy) and worked on other challenging projects with Moreno, Fred De Palma, RIO, Shade, TMHH, Fargo , Justin Bieber and 5 Seconds of Summer. In the same year, he flew to Las Vegas for Elettromedia and to Dubai with the band “Mark Zitti e i Fratelli Coltelli” for commercials and documentaries.
He started a collaboration with the clothing brand Mavranyma ,with the designer Elia Francinella, entering the world of fashion as A.D. , marketing and communications.
In 2015 won the ” Beauty Awards” at Chicago Fashion Film Festival with “ATMAN “.
He saw in this world a great and exciting way to express himself and started to create fashion films for brands like Manuel Ritz, Dirk Bikkembergs, Cult, Espadrilles, Malloni, Casbia, Silvian Heach, Dondup, Fornarina, Max Mara and web commercials for Beck’s, Hard Rock Café, Pepsi beat etc.
In 2014 he directed 3 commercials in Dubai for the “Burj Club” inside the Burj Khalifa.
